About

About Me

I was born in Columbus, Ohio and (with the exception of the 4 years in college) have lived there all of my life. I reside there now with my wife Andrea and son Landon.

As far as interests go, I’ve always enjoyed drawing and art in general, and over time this interest has grown to envelop photography, architecture, and graphic design as well. Although I was one of the last of my friends to get a computer growing up, I’ve since become a bit of a computer nerd and the go-to tech support guy for my family. I also read quite a bit, so my library card gets quite a bit of exercise.

When I’m not inside reading or in front of the computer I’ll probably be off somewhere outside hiking, camping or at least taking a walk around town.

I’m also a bit of a sports fan, mostly football (I played in high school and college and I am currently a licensed official) and especially Buckeyes football.

About This Site

This site serves as a space for me to post about what is going on in my life or about anything in particular that strikes my fancy. It also serves as a place for me to put up any of my personal artwork or photography.

This is the second major incarnation of the site. The first lasted about a year but over time I began to grow tired of the design. The newer design is somewhat simpler but I believe is easier to read and much better overall.

I have tried to make all the code for the site standards-compliant, and it should validate as both XHTML and CSS compliant.

Textpattern powers all of the back-end administrative duties. I discovered it early on when making the site and it has always worked admirably for me.

The text is set in both Georgia and Verdana, primarily for their wide availability but also due to their good on-screen readability.

Hosting is by Dreamhost.
